Coinimas compliance
Anti-money laundering and KYC
Coinimas does not want stolen money, sanctioned money, or money whose owner will not identify themselves. This page is the public version of that rule. It is Coinimas policy. It is not a licence claim and it is not a copy of another exchange’s policy.
Know your customer
- You open an account with an email and a password. That is enough to look at the app. It is not enough to use every feature.
- Before P2P, and before a higher withdrawal limit, you complete identity verification: legal name, date of birth, country, a government identity document, and a face check. Some countries also need proof of address.
- An unverified user cannot post a P2P advertisement and cannot buy or sell on P2P.
- Coinimas can ask for the source of funds when a deposit or a pattern of deposits does not match the account. Until you answer, withdrawals can stay pending.
- A company account is not opened through the normal signup. Write to compliance@coinimas.com.
- If an automatic face check fails, a person can review it. Email support@coinimas.com with the subject “Verification review”.
What Coinimas will not do
- Open an account for anyone under 18.
- Open an account for a person or a place on a sanctions list Coinimas is required to apply, including lists that restrict the United States, the United Kingdom, the European Union, and the United Nations where those lists bind the service.
- Knowingly process money for ransomware, fraud, terrorist financing, or a person using a borrowed identity.
- Let you credit your own balance. The ledger only moves for a seen deposit, a user-to-user transfer, a settled trade, or a fee that those actions already describe.
- Tell the person who was reported that a suspicious-activity report was filed, when the law forbids that warning.
Monitoring
Coinimas reviews deposits, withdrawals, and P2P deals that do not match the account. Passing a check is not a certificate that the money is clean. It means the check that Coinimas runs was completed.
Staff compare withdrawal addresses and identity details with sanctions data available to Coinimas. Coinimas does not claim a contract with any named blockchain-analytics vendor on this page. If a vendor is used later, the house record will name it. The public page will still not imply that a logo is an endorsement.
Your duty
- Use your own identity. Do not let another person trade through your account.
- Do not accept a deposit from a stranger who asks you to “keep it” or to forward it.
- Do not use Coinimas to break the law where you live, including tax law. Coinimas does not calculate your tax.
Records
Identity files and the ledger are kept for at least five years after the account closes, and longer when a case is open. That retention is also explained in the Privacy notice. You can ask to delete marketing data. You cannot ask Coinimas to delete the ledger of a completed withdrawal.
Reports and requests
A user who sees fraud writes to compliance@coinimas.com and to support@coinimas.com. Law enforcement sends a valid legal process to compliance@coinimas.com. Include the account email or the transaction id, the law you rely on, and a way to verify the request. Coinimas will not act on a screenshot from a private chat.
Changes
Coinimas can tighten these checks without notice when a chain, a country, or a pattern of fraud requires it. The date on this page moves when the public text changes.
